Grief is alot, but you’re not alone :)
You sit by yourself, wishing you just had someone to talk to. But you don’t have the capacity to explain your grief and pain so you don’t reach out at all. Anytime someone checks in on you, you want to tell them that your world is crumbling but you don’t want to burden them, so you say “I’m fine thanks for checking in”.
You go about your days in silence but your brain is screaming a million thoughts at you. Your heart is tired and you really don’t know how you can carry on living like this anymore. It’s been days, weeks, months since your loved one passed. And every day since seems to have gone in a blur but it also feels like a lifetime has passed.
They say grief comes in waves, which is true. But you’re exhausted having to ride these waves without knowing if it will ever get better. Some days are great and some are not. You want to feel better and when you do, the guilt comes right along with it.
Talking about them makes you choke up but you also want someone to listen to all your favourite stories of them and cry and laugh along with you. But you don’t know how any of this is possible.
You’re not alone 🤍
Because I have gone through every single thing written above. I don’t claim to understand your pain entirely, because grief is unique to everyone. But I can understand what your silence, tears and even laugh means. So if you want an hour where you can just breathe, without having to force your grief away or put up a fake smile, I’m here :)
